Back in 2010 my younger brother (Bear) started a restaurant named GrantLees a BBQ civil war themed restaurant. I helped once in a while when I wasn't working on the road. After a couple of years he sold it to another brother (Bubba) who converted his snowmobile trailer into a food trailer and so I talked to him bought his trailer and my own smoker and Bubba even came up with the name, and The Outpost was born.

Truck stop next door for truckers. The place is owned by a lovely couple (I think they are together) prices are good and food is made to order. Very friendly business and dog friendly! They have a tented area to sit outside and enjoy your food. Oh and they take APPLE PAY!
First time trying the outpost. It was that or KFC.. I definitely made the right choice.. staff was friendly. Had a pulled chicken sandwich loaded on a soft bulky and curly fries. Fries were a little pricey but sandwich was fabulous.
The best BBQ in Maine hands down. They even have fried Oreos! Everyone has been super friendly and helpful!
The best!!! I had the rib rack and I wasn't disappointed. The meat was tender, well done and full of flavor. Highly recommended
